Juliana Stankiewicz is an Amsterdam-based artist with over twenty years of active practice in fine art. Originally from America, she spent 18 years in New York City, where she worked as an artist, served as an artist assistant to Tavares Strachan at Isolated Labs, modeled for renowned painter John Currin, and became a member of the Grasse River Heritage Sculpture Park — a position she continues to hold today.

Since relocating to Amsterdam, Juliana has joined Vondelpark Atelier as a drawing and painting instructor, teaching classes in watercolor, acrylic, and oil.

Her work has been exhibited widely, including two solo shows in Manhattan and group shows in Brooklyn, Connecticut, and at the Palm Springs Art Fair. In 2021, she was awarded the Creatives Rebuild NY grant, which provided 18 months of financial support to deepen her creative practice.

Most recently, Juliana was a resident at the Centre Pompidou feminist residency in Abbeville, France, and has been awarded residencies at OBRAS in Portugal and the DNA residency in Provincetown, MA.
