What about this gem from 1959
by another Dutch illustrator who
only died two years ago, at the
age of 95! Her name was Jenny
Dalenoord. She illustrated 180
children’s books and was awarded several prizes.
I particularly like
her use of colour in this
dust wrapper. Notice also the
smaller figures on the back side of the wrapper.
