Contemporary jewellery is considered a combination of jewellery and art. Unlike most (earlier) jewellery styles, contemporary jewellery can hardly be categorized based on specific materials or characteristics, as today's jewellery is made from a wide range of metals and other materials and using a great variety of procedures and techniques.

This workshop suits people who would like to work with metal and tools. It will start with a short introduction to the world of contemporary jewellery, followed by instructions for different jewellers’ tools. Then you are encouraged to design and create a jewellery item of your own.
The workshop consists of (a minimum of) four 3- hour sessions which are all practical and project based. Maximum participants: 3.
